This treasury funds real work: sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation, habitat protection, and awareness campaigns about plastic pollution killing marine life. Researchers estimate that plastic entanglement alone kills at least 1,000 sea turtles every year - a figure researchers themselves call conservative, since many die at sea and are never recorded. Every sea turtle species alive today is vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered. We took their name. We're not taking it for free.
